Austin Students Win Again

The Division of Curriculum and Instruction would like to congratulate winners in the Georgia Reader of the Year Essay Contest. Students and their nominiating teachers were required to write an essay describing the student's reading achievement and growth.

DeKalb County School District was well-represented in the local contest with 100 entries from 17 elementary, middle, and high schools. The DeKalb Reading Council recognized 7 local winners, 3 of whom are Austin students:
